The Hop On-Hop Off Paddan boat tours are a great way to get around the city and create your own itinerary. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours from first use, so you can take your time and explore the city at leisure. Don’t miss the Feskekôrka, Opera House, The East Indiaman Götheborg and the harbour and many more iconic landmarks in and around Gothenburg.

Important notice: Due to seasonality the Hop On-Hop Off Paddan Boat Tour will run daily until 18th of August. Back in June 2019

You are entitled to make multiple journeys on the Hop on-Hop Off boats until your Gothenburg Pass has expired. We recommend starting at stop 1 at Kungsportsplatsen. For Timetable see Opening times.

The Experience:

Board the Hop On-Hop Off Paddan boat at Kungsportsplatsenin the city centre and enjoy an opportunity to experience Gothenburg at your leisure. A Paddan is a traditional open topped boat (called the toad in Swedish) and a great way to see the sights on a warm summers day. Your guide will give you running commentary as you pass all the important landmarks and attractions, and you can hop on or off at 5 points across the city, or just stay on for the whole ride and take it all in from the comfort of your seat.

Your route will start at Kungsportsplatsen, where you’ll find all the Paddan boats moored, near the popular street Avenyn with the many shops and eateries. From there the next stop will be Brunnparken /Lejontrappan which you can hop off for some retail therapy at one of the biggest shopping malls in Scandanavia, Nordstan. Lilla Bommen is worth exploring for its stunning Opera House, the Viking barque and to take another boat trip out to Älvsborg Fortress. Eriksberg is an up and coming residential area along the sunny Northern river bank, home to many quaint cafes if you want a coffee stop. Finally, if you’re waititing to eat, make sure you get off at Feskekôrka, Gothenburg's beloved fish market where you can sample freshly caught fish in their many renowned restaurants.
