The Experience:

Alfie Atkins is a young boy who lives with his father. Brought to life in the series written by the Swedish author, Gunilla Bergström, he has been a fixture in Swedish children’s lives since the early 70s. Living a normal life, like most kids, the stories tell of his friends (some imaginary) and his favourite pet cat, as well as his longing to grow up and be an adult.

In the cultural centre, Alfie and his stories are brought to life and kids are encouraged to join in the range of dynamic and interactive displays and exhibits to spark their curiosity and playfulness. No kid is too old for Alfie!

Today, at Alfie Atkins Cultural Centre, you and your family can explore the block of flats where Alfie Atkins lives, his sitting room, the monster he’s so scared of, the helicopter and of course Milla, Malcolm (Mållgan), his grandma and much more. Adults, don’t worry, you can take some time out while the kids have fun and sit back in the reading corner or enjoy a coffee and a bun in the café.
